1930’s House Extension, Forest Hall

BASE were commissioned to design and gain Planning and Building Regulations approval for the refurbishment and extension works to this large 1930’s style semi-detached house in Forest Hall.

BASE worked closely with the clients through design meetings, to update and enlarge the tired 1930’s style house to give it a new contemporary kitchen and sitting area to the rear with two storey side extension to give new Garage, WC and Utility to the ground floor and new Bedroom and Shower Room to the first floor.

BASE working closely and listening to the client’s needs achieved a pleasing environment with clean new look whilst also retaining the original character and proportions expected of a large 19030’s style house. Refurbished original 1930’s doors were sourced together with ensuring the existing moulded high skirting’s and architraves were matched from original profiles to tie new and old together seamlessly.

The works were started in the summer of 2017 and completed by that Christmas.
