Just started work on an existing bungalow with Alan, thus far the service has been excellent. The most striking impact using BASE has had on the project is the design of the property itself, Alan has turned a mundane old bungalow into a contemporary and stylish family home. Really happy with how the building is going to look at completion. Generally though BASE are competent, professional, realistic and easy to deal with. Traits that are quite rare in our industry. Alan is very approachable and helpful with any issues I have and I would definitely use BASE again in future. I am confident that with the continued knowledge and support of BASE the project is going to be a success.

Whilst we had been wanting to extend our home for some time, it all seemed quite daunting, getting all the necessary permissions, finding a decent builder and of course ensuring we got the design right. We did have a general idea of what we wanted to achieve, but were not at all certain that it could all be achieved with the available space and budget. Our first step was to find a reputable architect and we are so pleased we discovered BASE. From the minute we outlined our plans we felt completely reassured. He listened attentively to our brief and his experience in the field was instantly obvious. He was able to guide us through all the necessary legislative requirements and generally kept us on the right track. We had a number of meetings with BASE and throughout they displayed high degrees of professionalism and knowledge, he was able to make suggestions and offer advice that meant that not only did we achieve our basic requirements, but so much more. As the plans evolved we achieved better use of space and enhanced aesthetics and are delighted with the results. The plans produced were of the highest quality, not only providing the dimensions of the build but also stipulating the materials to be used, which ensured an end product of the highest quality he left nothing to chance. Once the building work commenced BASE made a point of regularly attending our home to see how the work was coming along and speaking to the builders to ensure the detailed specifications within our plans were being followed. This proved to be invaluable. In short, we received a first class service from BASE and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. If I could give any advice to anyone contemplating a similar project it would be; do yourself a favour and give BASE a call!

We employed BASE to take our tired, 1930’s bungalow to refurbish and extend it to provide a contemporary yet traditional and stylish home. Base helped source refurbished 1930’s style doors and made sure details such as moulded skirting’s and architraves were as per the original to provide a seamless transition from new to old. The finished product has exceeded all our expectations the service has been excellent, friendly and professional they were realistic and easy to deal with throughout, with nothing being a problem. The whole journey from start to finish was made straightforward by BASE who liaised with Planners, Builders and Building Control to ensure the build ran smoothly and was handed over on time and to budget. Their attention to detail is second to none, the technical drawings were commented on by the Builders and Local Authority for being the best and most comprehensive they had ever seen. So a big thank you to the team at BASE for making our home special and putting the wow factor back into it. We would not hesitate in recommending BASE and would use them again.
